Dedicated geneticists, wheat researchers, agencies and commissions are moving forward to limit 'Falling Number' risks.
Alex McGregor has just completed a report on the progress being made by USDA/ARS and land grant researchers to tackle the complicated issue of the 'Falling Number' test for wheat. This report comes ahead of a Falling Number Summit being organized for late January 2019 in Portland, OR -- providing a summary of current research, potential of new testing methods, and possibilities for resistant varieties.
