Bigger and Better

Tomco Seed is one of the largest seed businesses in the Pacific Northwest. Seed conditioning is done at the main seed plant located at Clyde, WA. Seed products are distributed to farmers at a number of McGregor locations and to other certified seed dealers across the region.

Roots Run Deep

Tomco Seed has deep roots in dryland agriculture. The Tompkins family began producing certified seed on their farm in Walla Walla County in 1976. Soon they moved the majority of their seed production to the Columbia Basin so they could produce high quality seed under irrigated conditions. They built a strong and loyal following and expanded the business to Walla Walla in 1992.

Tompkins and McGregor

As their seed business grew and technical needs increased, in 1997 the Tompkins family aligned their business with the McGregor family, an organization with broader managerial and technical resources. Tomco Seed is now a division of The McGregor Company.

The primary goal of Tomco Seed is to provide customers the best quality seed at competitive prices. We think you’ll find that we reach that goal every day.
